I AM STANDING ON GOD'S WORD

This week Dom and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. Biblically, 7 is a significant number, so that was already exciting. But on a personal level, Dom and I spent 7 years apart, between first dating and getting back together to get married. So 7 years in covenant marriage, after a challenging but important 7 years apart, felt extra significant.

I thank God for my faithful husband, Dom. He is a man of great courage, integrity and boldness. He has championed me on the journey of becoming who God has made me to be and constantly pointed me back towards my ultimate husband; Jesus. His endless pursuit of Jesus makes every day of our marriage an adventure and a journey of becoming, where both of us are continually being stretched, sanctified and transformed!

Over dinner I was reflecting on how grateful I was to know that God had called us into our marriage. God made it very clear to us that we were to marry each other, which has been such a blessing during the inevitable ups and downs of married life. I have never doubted that it was the right decision.

When we know with clarity what God’s word and promises are over our lives, we can walk faithfully with Him through life’s trials, rather than being knocked by circumstance and left doubting God and His goodness. What you believe about God is one of the most important things about you, because it will dictate and shape your whole life.

Dan Mohler is one of my all time favourite preachers. He really helped me to understand my righteousness in Christ. In this clip below he preaches a powerful and challenging message about what it is to live in Christ and maintain peace and steadfastness amidst life’s storms. I really recommend it.
