Bread; Testimonies, Coffee, Worship And More...

As a Bread community we are moving deeper into prayer. We must have more of the presence and power of God! We have seen a measure of anointing, people have been touched, but it's not enough. Our heart's cry is that people will walk into our premises and like Jacob utter:  “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it...How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.” (Gen 28).

The upstairs room will be turned into a prayer and worship room and the Bread tagline (Bread "bottled", if you like) is going to become "coffee and prayer". What's bread? It's coffee and prayer. Everyone who comes into Bread will be verbally offered prayer!

Over many years doing outreach on the streets, we have discovered that people are so open to prayer. Whether agnostic, new age, whatever, being offered prayer is a loving, gentle way of serving people and it opens up opportunities to talk, tell the gospel, all sorts. Ultimately it opens up opportunities for God to answer and move upon people, through Jesus Christ, in the wonderful way only He can! More testimonies are going to start flooding in. Jesus is going to get more and more glory and we are going to have a testimony board up in the shop.

Here is one that happened this morning - our first official day of offering prayer to every customer;

“First customer that came in today didn’t want to buy anything but I offered her some prayer as part of our new initiative and she just burst into tears. She then went on to explain that she had recently lost her husband :( she asked that I pray for her sister (who told her about Bread)  to be healed of an injured ankle she had developed from falling at her job as a hairdresser. She rushed back to work as she was worried about finance so I also prayed a blessing over financial stability."
