Our mugs are all individually hand decorated and therefore, at times, some of the mugs produced have small defects or blemishes in the design (a fuzzy letter, an area of mottling or mark in the glaze) and therefore we grade them as seconds.
The usability of the mugs is not compromised by these minor design defects.
On many of the mugs, the blemish or imperfection is marked by a black pen. This comes off when you wipe it.
