I am holding onto hope
Hello Everyone,
Have you ever heard the expression ‘it’s always darkest before the dawn’?
That was never as true as on Good Friday, when Jesus was crucified. The sky literally went black and it looked like all was lost. The disciples had been following the Messiah believing He was going to save them. Seeing Him hung on a cross, in a bloody mess must have been devastating on every level.
Do you ever wrestle with hopelessness, despair, or confusion? When things you have long hoped for and believe God has promised, don’t seem to be coming to pass?
Listen to more here!
You are not alone. God’s ways are higher than ours and His timing is often unpredictable, but in order to walk in His ways, it requires a whole lot of trust. Trust that holds on and perseveres and praises Him even when it seems that all is lost.
Maybe there is a prophetic word you have been contending for for years. Maybe there is a relationship that you are still waiting to see healed. Maybe you are in a marriage and it is tough; you are holding on to see transformation, but it hasn’t happened yet.
It’s not over yet. When Jesus was crucified, the disciples didn’t know what would happen next. With the benefit of hindsight, we know the end of the story. He rose again. He defeated death. He made a way for all to be saved. Take this hope of resurrection as encouragement for your situation. If it’s not good, its not the end! Keep believing, keep holding on, keep trusting. And allow the process to draw you deeper into dependance and intimacy with Jesus.
