HAPPY EASTER!
As we journey through Holy Week, I offer you some declarations to meditate on;

MY LIFE IS NOT MY OWN
I AM SURRENDERED TO THE WILL OF GOD
I AM MY BELOVED’S AND HE IS MINE
I AM HERE ON PURPOSE
I AM CALLED BY GOD

I am struck afresh by how Jesus approached the suffering of the cross. Knowing and dreading what was ahead, he didn’t pray ‘Lord get me out of here, save ME’, bur rather, ‘Father, may your will be done and may YOU be glorified.’

How quick are we to save our lives; to protect our comfort and agenda. But Jesus modelled something different - in the midst of the suffering, in the midst of the betrayal; God be glorified.
Let that touch you today in your deepest area of suffering or trial. Can you, like Jesus, lift your eyes from your own experience, in order to usher in God’s redemptive work in the midst of even the most unfair situation?

Every declaration listed in Who Am I is seen through the lens of what we celebrate this Easter.
Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins, then He rose again defeating death itself and now we get to die to our old sinful self and be raised again in HIM, with his resurrection power living inside us and His blood and DNA coursing through our spiritual veins.

God looks at us and sees Jesus. So we can say with confidence;
I AM OUTRAGEOUSLY LOVED
I AM FORGIVEN
I AM WASHED WHITE AS SNOW
I AM A NEW CREATION
I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST
This Easter, may you know the reality of his broken body and spilt blood - washing away every sin, regret, unforgiveness, bitterness, abuse and trauma. And may you know the resurrection power of Christ alive in you; making all things new, and empowering you to be transformed by the renewing of your mind - going from strength to strength and glory to glory in Him!
